In Primary 7 this week we went to St. Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn to participate in a science lesson for Transition. We met with Miss Lawler , Miss Cairns and Mr. Jack. We used the Van de Graaff generator, carried out a flame colour experiment using a Bunsen Burner and chemicals, then we used microscopes to study plants and insects. When we returned to school we wrote an instructional report based on what we had learned.
On Friday we had help from Mrs Lamb to start our process in creating a bug hotel for the bugs and creatures in our school playground. We learned how to use tools safely and how to secure the Bug hotel and make it safe. This is work in progress and we look forward to seeing the finished result.
In Maths, we have been looking at negative numbers.
We have continued to work on school values and our Wellbeing indicators.
