This has been a fantastic week for Primary 7. It is Mental Health Awareness week and to celebrate, we wore our clothes “Inside Out” to show that the way you look on the outside does not always reflect how you feel on the inside.
We also Celebrated Scotland Loves Languages with our Language Ambassador Heather. Heather volunteers to teach Spanish once per week with P7.
We have been learning Higher Order Thinking Skills and how we can formulate questions designed to deepen our understanding of texts and tasks. These skills will help us as we move to High School and for the world of work.
We have been reading “The Boy In the Striped Pyjamas” and this week we wrote a diary entry reflecting the character’s feelings and emotions.
We are drawing near the end of our WWII topic and everyone is working on designing and making an Anderson Air Raid shelter. We are also finishing off our short films- look at the wonderful costumes!
Mrs McGuigan is looking forward to listening to our Personal Talks next week.
